01 -
Preheat Air Fryer to 300°F. Set time to 8 minutes.
02 -
In a shallow large bowl, beat egg yolk until smooth using a fork, whisk, or egg beater.
03 -
Mix in the heavy cream until creamy. Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Blend until fully combined.
04 -
Gently place each half slice of brioche bread into the mixture, soaking both sides for about 5-8 seconds.
05 -
Place each soaked slice onto the Air Fryer tray. If using an Air Fryer tray, insert another tray at the bottom to catch any drips.
06 -
Insert tray into the middle cooking chamber of the Air Fryer. Cook for 8 minutes, flipping slices during the last 3-4 minutes.
07 -
Remove slices when the timer ends and let cool for 1 minute. Transfer to a serving plate, dust with confectioner’s sugar, drizzle with maple syrup, and add fresh berries if desired. Serve immediately.
08 -
Prepare mixture following prior steps. Heat olive oil and butter in a non-stick pan over low heat. Place soaked bread slices into the pan and cook each side for 3-4 minutes. Follow garnish steps as listed.
