Animal Style Loaded Fries (Print Version)

Golden fries with gooey cheese, sweet onions, and a touch of a tangy sauce, all inspired by a classic west coast munchie.

# Ingredients:

→ Fries

01 - 32 oz bag of frozen fries

→ Animal Style Sauce

02 - 1/2 cup mayo
03 - 3 tablespoons ketchup
04 - 1 tablespoon mustard (yellow)
05 - 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
06 - 1 teaspoon white vinegar
07 - A pinch of salt
08 - A dash of pepper

→ Toppings

09 - 2 tablespoons butter
10 - 1 yellow onion, chopped into small bits
11 - 6 slices of American cheese

# Steps:

01 - Bake the frozen fries on a sheet pan, following the directions on the packaging.
02 - Mix mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, white vinegar, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Cover and let it chill for a while so the flavors come together.
03 - In a skillet over medium to high heat, melt butter. Toss in the chopped onion, sprinkle with salt, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring until they turn golden.
04 - After baking the fries, turn off the oven. Lay the American cheese slices over the fries, letting them sit in the warm oven for around 5 minutes until melted.
05 - Spread the golden onions over your cheesy fries.
06 - Drizzle the chilled sauce on top of the fries and dig in!

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Chilling the sauce a little helps develop deeper flavors.
02 - Cooking the onions slowly pulls out their natural sweetness.
