01 -
In a big bowl, use clean hands or a sturdy spoon to combine the ground chuck, sour cream, ranch dressing mix, crumbled bacon, and cheddar cheese. Don’t overmix it, or the burgers won’t be tender.
02 -
Take the mixture and split it into 6 equal parts. Shape them into patties and make a slight dimple in the center of each one to stop them from puffing up when they cook. Wet your hands with cold water to keep the mixture from sticking.
03 -
Heat up a grill or skillet on medium. Place the patties on the hot surface and cook for 5–6 minutes on each side until they’re done to your liking: 54–57°C for medium-rare, 60–63°C for medium, and 71°C for well-done. Be gentle when flipping and don’t press down on the patties to keep the juices in. Let them rest for a few minutes after cooking.
04 -
If you want, toast the hamburger buns lightly. Put each patty on a bun and add lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayonnaise, and any other toppings you like. Serve right away.
