Bacon Cheese Doritos (Print Version)

Doritos packed with creamy bacon-cheese goodness, great for parties or snack lovers.

# Ingredients:

→ Key Items

01 - 275 g bag of Doritos (any flavor)
02 - 227 g cream cheese, room temperature
03 - 1 cup shredded cheddar
04 - 6 pieces of bacon, cooked till crispy and broken up
05 - 1/2 tsp onion powder
06 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
07 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh chives (optional for topping)

# Steps:

01 - Cook bacon till it’s crispy using whatever works for you—skillet, oven, or microwave. Lay it on paper towels to get rid of the extra grease. Once it cools, crumble into bits and keep aside.
02 - Grab a medium bowl and mix up cream cheese (softened), cheddar cheese, bacon chunks, onion powder, and garlic powder. Keep stirring till it’s all smooth and evenly blended. If it feels too stiff, microwave the bowl for 10 to 15 seconds to soften things.
03 - Pick out the biggest and most intact Dorito chips from the bag. Slowly open up a small pocket along the edge of each one, being careful not to snap them apart completely.
04 - Spoon or pipe the cheesy mix into each chip. You can use a piping bag with a small tip, a ziplock with the corner clipped, or even a small butter knife. Aim for 1–2 tsp of filling, depending on how big the chip is, and avoid overloading.
05 - Place your filled chips in a single layer on a tray or plate, making sure they don’t stack. Put them in the fridge for 20 minutes or more so the filling sets up nicely.
06 - Once chilled, sprinkle some chopped chives on top if you’d like. Serve them cold or let them come to room temp. Don’t leave them out too long to keep the textures and flavors fresh.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Let the cream cheese sit out until soft to make mixing easier.
02 - Piping bags make the filling process super smooth and less messy.
