→ Bacon and Onions

09 - A dash of chili powder
10 - Black pepper to taste
11 - 1/3 cup of real maple syrup from Wisconsin
12 - 2-3 medium-sized yellow onions
13 - 1 pound of bacon strips

# Steps:

01 - Throw together your ground beef, seasonings, and caramelized onions. Be gentle and don’t overdo the mixing. Shape into four balls and let them sit for 15 minutes.
02 - Warm up your griddle. Pop the meat balls on and press them flat with a spatula. Flip a couple of times until the edges crisp up. On the last flip, brush mustard on top and finish cooking them through.
03 - Layer each patty with cheese, crispy bacon, and caramelized onions. Once the cheese melts, place them on toasted buns spread with spicy mustard. Serve right away.
04 - Lay out bacon slices on a rack set over a baking sheet. Start with a cold oven and heat to 350°F. Mix black pepper, chili powder, and syrup. Brush the syrup mix on while baking. Allow to cool when done.
05 - Chop the onions into small pieces. Cook them slow and steady in a pan with butter over low heat. Stir in a drizzle of maple syrup and black pepper. Keep cooking until they’re soft and golden.
