Classic corn dogs get a festive twist with candy corn for extra sweetness and color.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ For Frying

01 - 1.9 litres neutral oil (e.g. canola or vegetable), for deep frying

→ Corn Dog Assembly

02 - 6 hot dogs
03 - 6 wooden sticks or chopsticks

→ Batter

04 - 120 grams cornmeal
05 - 125 grams all-purpose flour
06 - 85 grams candy corn
07 - 50 grams granulated sugar
08 - 16 grams baking powder
09 - 1.5 grams fine salt
10 - 0.5 grams ground black pepper
11 - 1 large egg
12 - 240 millilitres whole milk

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed skillet to 190°C.
02 - In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Add the egg and milk to the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined, then fold in the candy corn until evenly distributed.
04 - Insert a wooden stick or chopstick into each hot dog, leaving enough handle for dipping and frying.
05 - Pour the batter into a tall glass. Dip each hot dog into the batter, rotating to ensure a thick, even coating.
06 - Carefully lower each coated hot dog into the hot oil. Fry for about 3 minutes, or until deep golden brown and crisp.
07 - Transfer fried corn dogs to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve warm with chocolate syrup or your favourite dipping sauce.

# Extra Information:

01 - For best results, keep the batter cold and work in batches to maintain oil temperature.
