Add the egg and milk to the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined, then fold in the candy corn until evenly distributed.

Insert a wooden stick or chopstick into each hot dog, leaving enough handle for dipping and frying.

Pour the batter into a tall glass. Dip each hot dog into the batter, rotating to ensure a thick, even coating.

Carefully lower each coated hot dog into the hot oil. Fry for about 3 minutes, or until deep golden brown and crisp.
