Cheesy Pizza Rolls (Print-Friendly Version)

Cheesy bread rolls filled with sausage or pepperoni, coated in herbed butter, and paired with marinara.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Dough and Filling

01 - 12 thawed frozen bread rolls
02 - 75 grams cooked sausage or sliced pepperoni
03 - 75 grams shredded mozzarella cheese

→ Coating

04 - 30 millilitres melted unsalted butter
05 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
07 - 25 grams grated parmesan cheese

# How to Make It:

01 - Let the frozen rolls sit out for about 2 hours at room temp. They should be soft but not fully risen.
02 - Set your oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 23x33 cm baking pan with nonstick spray.
03 - Use your hands to flatten each thawed roll into a circle that's about 7.5 cm wide.
04 - Spoon around 15 grams (1 tablespoon) of mozzarella and the same of sausage or pepperoni into the middle of each dough circle.
05 - Pinch the edges of the dough around the filling to create a ball. Place each roll seam-side down in the prepared pan.
06 - In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
07 - Brush the tops of the filled rolls with the butter mixture you just made.
08 - Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese evenly on top of the rolls.
09 - Put the baking pan in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the rolls turn golden brown on top.
10 - Serve hot with some warm marinara sauce on the side if you'd like.

# Extra Information:

01 - If you're in a hurry, you can thaw 6 rolls at a time on a microwave-safe plate covered with plastic wrap. Microwave for 30 seconds, flip, cover again, and do another 30 seconds.
02 - Make sure to pinch the seams well before baking to keep the cheese from leaking out.
