# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
03 - ½ teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

04 - 12 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
05 - ½ cup granulated sugar
06 - ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
07 - 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
08 - 2 large eggs

09 - 1 ½ cups M&Ms
10 - Additional M&Ms for topping

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 370°F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats and set aside.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
03 - In a large bowl, using an electric or stand mixer, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vanilla extract until combined.
04 - Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly between each addition.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined, ensuring not to overmix.
06 - Using a spatula, fold in M&Ms until evenly distributed.
07 - Using a cookie scoop, portion dough into balls about 2 tablespoons each and place them onto the prepared baking sheets.
08 - Bake for 10 minutes, then rotate the baking sheet clockwise and continue baking for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
09 - Remove cookies from the oven and immediately place additional M&Ms on top. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.
