Chili Dog Mac & Cheese Box (Print Version)

All the flavors of a chili cheese dog blend into creamy, cheesy pasta for a family-friendly dinner in 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 12 oz box Velveeta shells & cheese
02 - 7-8 hot dogs, cooked and sliced into coins
03 - 1 15 oz can no bean chili
04 - 1 15.5 oz can chili starter, drained and lightly rinsed
05 - 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
06 - Diced white onion, for garnish
07 - Pickled jalapenos, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and stir in the cheese sauce.
02 - Add the hot dogs, no bean chili, chili starter, and 3/4 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese to the pasta. Stir until everything is evenly combined.
03 - Lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to the dish and spread it out evenly.
04 - Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
05 - Bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and the cheese on top has melted.
06 - Serve warm with optional diced white onion and pickled jalapenos as garnishes. Enjoy!

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Not all chili starters are the same. This recipe was made using Bush's brand. Look for it near the canned beans in the grocery store.
02 - Ensure you are using boxed mac and cheese that includes cheese sauce, not powdered cheese.
03 - You can use any variety of hot dogs your family prefers. This is a great way to use leftover grilled or boiled hot dogs.
