Fluffy and soft pancakes packed with melty chocolate chips, perfect for starting the morning on a sweet note.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 ½ tsp baking powder
03 - ½ tsp baking soda
04 - Pinch of salt
05 - 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
08 - 1 cup whole milk
09 - 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
10 - 3/4 cup dark or milk chocolate chips, regular or mini
11 - 2 Tbsp butter for greasing

# Steps:

01 - Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Add the chocolate chips and mix again. Set aside.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, whole milk, and cooled unsalted butter until combined.
03 - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk just until combined. Do not overmix.
04 - Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 Tbsp of butter to grease the pan.
05 - Using a 1/3 measuring cup, pour the batter into the skillet. Add additional chocolate chips on top if desired. Cook for 2-3 minutes, looking for bubbles and firm edges. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
06 - Remove pancakes from the pan and repeat until all batter is used. You should have about 8 pancakes. Serve immediately with desired sides while still warm and enjoy.
