Chocolate Lava Cake Dessert (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
02 - 4 tablespoons butter
03 - 1 egg
04 - 1 egg yolk
05 - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
08 - 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
02 - Butter two 8-ounce ramekins thoroughly.
03 - Melt the chocolate chips and butter together in the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir until the chocolate chips are fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
04 - Whisk in the egg and egg yolk to the chocolate mixture. Add the vanilla extract, salt, powdered sugar, and flour. Stir until combined.
05 - Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins. Bake for 10 minutes. The centers should remain molten.
06 - You can serve the cakes directly in the ramekins or gently unmold them onto a plate. Optionally, top with ice cream or whipped cream before serving.

# Notes:

01 - The cakes can rest at room temperature until ready to bake. Baking them for up to 14 minutes will result in less molten centers.
