Chocolate Peppermint Bark Candy (Print Version)

Decadent chocolate layers with peppermint extract and candy cane topping—quick and festive treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Chocolate Layer

01 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

→ White Chocolate Layer

02 - 16 ounces white chocolate wafers (Ghirardelli preferred)
03 - 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
04 - 3/4 cup crushed peppermints or candy canes

# Steps:

01 - Microwave the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a glass bowl, heating in 30-second increments. Stir until completely melted and smooth.
02 - Using an offset spatula or knife, spread the melted chocolate into a 9x13 inch rectangle on a clean surface or parchment paper. Allow it to cool and set completely. Avoid using a refrigerator to cool, as it may make the next layer less adhesive.
03 - Microwave the white chocolate wafers in a glass bowl, heating in 30-second increments. Add the peppermint extract and stir until smooth.
04 - Spread the melted white chocolate mixture evenly over the semi-sweet chocolate layer. Sprinkle the crushed peppermints or candy canes over the top.
05 - Allow the layered chocolate to harden completely. Use a sharp knife to cut the bark into pieces of desired size. Serve and enjoy!

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Ensure both chocolate layers are completely set before cutting to prevent breaking or mixing.
