Creamy Tomato Chicken Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
02 - ½ tsp onion powder
03 - 1/2 tsp salt
04 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
05 - 1 tbsp olive oil
06 - 6 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 2 cans (14 oz each) chopped tomatoes
08 - 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
09 - 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
10 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
11 - 1/3 cup fresh basil, chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Cut the top part of the chicken breasts into squares without fully cutting through to create a larger surface area for even cooking.
02 - Sprinkle onion powder, salt, and black pepper evenly over the chicken breasts.
03 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, and place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
04 - Reduce heat to medium and add minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
05 - Pour in chopped tomatoes and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Stir and let it simmer with the chicken for 5 minutes.
06 - Stir in the heavy cream and let the mixture simmer for another 3-5 minutes.
07 - Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and fresh basil over the chicken before serving.
