01 -
Set your oven to 400°F. Cover a big baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top that’s safe for the oven.
02 -
In a big bowl, gently mix the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, pepper, and salt. Avoid mixing too much.
03 -
Split the meat mixture into 4 equal portions of about 4 ounces each. Shape them into patties roughly 3 ½ inches wide and ½ inch thick.
04 -
Lay 2 bacon slices in a cross shape, then center one patty over them. Place a pineapple slice on top, wrap the bacon around, and secure it with a toothpick.
05 -
Repeat the wrapping process for each patty and arrange them all on the lined baking sheet.
06 -
Let patties bake for 15 minutes. Then take them out to brush 2 more tablespoons of barbecue sauce over the bacon. Pop them back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until the center hits 160°F.
07 -
Toast your burger buns while waiting for the patties to finish cooking—if you’d like.
08 -
Give the cooked patties a 5-minute rest before serving them on buns. Add extra toppings like lettuce, onion, or cheese if you’d like.
