Easy Layered Taco Bake (Print-Friendly Version)

Taco-seasoned beef, cheese and tortillas baked together for a satisfying, family-friendly layered dish.

01 - 450 grams ground beef
02 - 1 packet taco seasoning
03 - 180 millilitres water, as per taco seasoning instructions
04 - 120 millilitres salsa con queso
05 - 3 soft flour tortillas, 20 cm diameter each
06 - 200 grams shredded Mexican cheese blend, divided use

# How to Make It:

01 - Heat skillet over medium-high. Brown and crumble ground beef; drain any excess fat.
02 - Add taco seasoning and water according to packet instructions. Simmer until thickened and beef is evenly coated.
03 - Remove pan from heat. Stir in salsa con queso until thoroughly combined with seasoned beef.
04 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly coat a 20 cm round baking pan with nonstick spray.
05 - Place one tortilla in base of prepared pan. Spread one third of beef mixture over tortilla, then sprinkle with one third of cheese.
06 - Top with another tortilla, followed by another third of beef mixture and cheese. Repeat layering once more with remaining ingredients.
07 - Transfer to oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.
08 - Remove from oven. Allow to cool for several minutes before slicing. Serve hot with preferred garnishes.

01 - Allow the bake to rest briefly before slicing to help layers hold their shape.
