If desired, drizzle chocolate sauce on the inside of a 350 ml glass, rotating the glass to coat the sides evenly.

Place three small scoops of French vanilla ice cream into the prepared glass. Use a scoop approximately 4 cm in diameter for accuracy.

Slowly pour cold root beer into the glass at an angle to minimize excess foam, allowing the soda to flow gently over the ice cream.

Top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
