Garlic Shrimp Rice Bowl (Print Version)

Tender shrimp in a creamy garlic-butter sauce over rice, sprinkled with Parmesan and herbs.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
02 - 300 g steamed white rice
03 - 1 tbsp olive oil
04 - Fresh parsley, finely chopped
05 - 2 tbsp butter
06 - Salt and black pepper to taste
07 - 500 g peeled and cleaned shrimp
08 - 50 g grated Parmesan
09 - 200 ml rich cream

# Steps:

01 - Warm up the butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and let it cook for about a minute or two until you can smell it.
02 - Toss the shrimp into the pan, season them with some pepper and salt, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn opaque and pink. Move them to a plate and set aside.
03 - Pour the cream into the pan and mix in the Parmesan. Let it cook gently over low heat until it begins to thicken, stirring every now and then.
04 - Put the shrimp back in the pan and coat them with the thick, cheesy sauce. Sprinkle the chopped parsley on top and mix lightly.
05 - Spoon the shrimp and creamy sauce over the cooked rice while still warm. Serve it right away.
