Grinch Cookies Green Heart (Print Version)

Chewy, bright green cookies with sweet candy hearts. A playful treat for festive winter celebrations.

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 15.25 ounces white cake mix
02 - 2 eggs, room temperature
03 - 1/3 cup vegetable oil
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - Green gel food coloring

→ Coating and Decorations

06 - ¾ cup powdered sugar
07 - ¼ cup cornstarch
08 - Candy heart sprinkles

# Steps:

01 - Add the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Mix on medium/low speed until fully combined.
02 - Add green gel food coloring a little at a time until you reach the desired shade.
03 - Cover and chill the dough for a minimum of 20 minutes.
04 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
05 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
06 - In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar and cornstarch. Set aside.
07 - Scoop out 1.5 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a smooth sphere using your hands.
08 - Roll each sphere in the powdered sugar mix and place them on the prepared baking sheet, approximately 2 inches apart.
09 - Flatten each sphere slightly using your hand, the bottom of a glass, or a spatula. Place a candy heart in the middle of each cookie and press lightly to adhere.
10 - Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes until the edges are just barely turning light golden and the tops are dry.
11 - Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies sit for three minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
