Honey Garlic Chicken Wings (Print Version)

Sticky, flavorful baked chicken wings with a honey garlic glaze.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds chicken wingettes
02 - 1/4 cup ketchup
03 - 1/4 cup water
04 - 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
05 - 1/4 cup honey
06 - 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
07 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
08 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
09 - 1 tablespoon sliced green onions, for garnish
10 - 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F.
02 - Place the chicken wings in a 9x13 baking dish and spread them out evenly. Set aside.
03 - Combine ketchup, water, soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, and minced garlic in a small pot. Stir well to combine. No need to heat it yet.
04 - Pour half the sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated. Set the remaining sauce aside for later.
05 - Bake for 30 minutes. Flip the wings over and bake for another 30 minutes, or until the wings are golden and crispy.
06 - While the wings finish baking, cook the remaining sauce in the pot over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
07 - Remove the wings from the oven and brush them generously with the thickened sauce.
08 - Let the wings rest for 10 minutes to soak up the flavor. Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
