Root Beer Ice Cream (Print-Friendly Version)

Classic root beer ice cream that’s smooth and creamy, with that nostalgic float flavor, available in both churned and no-churn variations.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Ice Cream Base

01 - 150 g granulated sugar
02 - 60 ml root beer extract
03 - 720 ml whole milk
04 - 480 ml heavy cream
05 - 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
06 - pinch kosher salt

# How to Make It:

01 - Pour the combined ingredients into an ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines and churn for at least 2 hours until it's softly set.
02 - Toss in the sugar, vanilla, root beer extract, and a pinch of kosher salt. Turn the mixer up to medium and blend for 3–5 minutes to make sure the sugar's all dissolved.
03 - Grab a big mixing bowl and mix the heavy cream with the whole milk. Blend it with a hand or stand mixer on low until it's just combined.
04 - If you want soft serve, dig in right away. Otherwise, put it in a covered container and freeze for a minimum of 2 hours for a firmer texture.

# Extra Information:

01 - For a no-churn option, just pour the mixed base into a freezer-safe container and freeze for about 4 hours or until it's solid.
