Pour the chilled tea over lots of ice in tall glasses. Top each glass with leftover mint leaves and lime slices.

Throw in most of the fresh mint leaves (save some for garnish) and add the sugar. Stir it up until the sugar's dissolved and let the mint steep as the tea cools down.

Put the green tea bags or loose leaf into the hot water and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Take out the tea bags or strain the loose leaves.

Get the water just below boiling and then take it off the heat.

Pour the tea into a pitcher and chill it in the fridge until it's really cold.

After the tea's cooled down, take out the mint leaves and mix in the lime juice. If you want a boozy version, stir in 120 to 240 ml of white rum at this point.
