4th of July M&M Bark (Print Version)

Crunchy pretzel bark layered with buttery caramel, white chocolate, and colorful candies. Perfect for patriotic celebrations.

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer

01 - 1 cup pretzels, enough to line the bottom of a pan

→ Caramel Layer

02 - 1 cup brown sugar
03 - 1 cup butter

→ Toppings

04 - 1 cup white chocolate chips
05 - ½ cup Patriotic M&Ms (or sprinkles/candies of choice)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Line the bottom of a baking tray or casserole dish with parchment paper.
03 - In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the brown sugar and butter. Cook for 2 minutes after melting until the mixture reaches a caramel color. Use a candy thermometer if desired, though not required.
04 - While the caramel is cooking, lay down an even layer of pretzels in the baking tray.
05 - Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzels and smooth with an offset spatula to ensure an even coating.
06 - Sprinkle white chocolate chips over the caramel-pretzel layer and place the tray in the oven for 4 minutes.
07 - Remove the tray from the oven and use a clean offset spatula to smooth the melted white chocolate. If the chocolate is still solid, return it to the oven for 1 additional minute until spreadable.
08 - While the chocolate is still melted, sprinkle on the M&Ms or desired candies. Place the baking tray in the refrigerator to cool.
09 - After 1 hour, break the bark into pieces and serve.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Using a candy thermometer can help achieve perfect caramel consistency.
02 - Ensure chocolate is warm enough to spread but avoid overheating to prevent burning.
