Lemon Basil Cheese Pizza (Print-Friendly Version)

A flavorful pizza packed with lemon, basil, and a trio of cheeses for any gathering.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 225 g pizza dough, warmed up

→ Cheeses

02 - 60 ml grated Parmesan cheese
03 - 80 g shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 80 g shredded provolone cheese

→ Toppings

05 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
07 - 2 garlic cloves, chopped
08 - 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
09 - 1 small Meyer lemon or regular lemon, sliced thin
10 - 1 shallot, halved and layers separated
11 - Chili flakes, to taste
12 - 1 teaspoon honey
13 - Fresh basil leaves, a good handful

# How to Make It:

01 - Set your oven to 230°C.
02 - On a floured surface, shape the dough into a circle about 25-30 cm wide. Move it onto a baking sheet.
03 - Brush the dough with olive oil. Evenly add Parmesan, sesame seeds, thyme, garlic, layers of shallot, and chili flakes. Drizzle honey on top.
04 - Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and provolone on top. Place lemon slices over the cheese. Toss on a handful of ripped fresh basil leaves.
05 - Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the crust turns golden and the cheeses are bubbling away.
06 - Take it out of the oven. Immediately add two big handfuls of fresh basil leaves on top. Cut and enjoy.

01 - For the best taste, mix fresh and dried chili flakes for just the right heat.
