Mint Chocolate Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on box)

→ Mint Buttercream

02 - ¾ cup salted butter, softened
03 - 2 cups powdered sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon mint extract
05 - 1-2 drops of green food coloring
06 - 1-2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream

→ Ganache

07 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
08 - 1 cup heavy whipping cream

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven as indicated on brownie box. Line an 8x8 square baking pan with parchment paper. Prepare and bake brownies according to package instructions. Cool completely.
02 - Beat butter until smooth in a mixing bowl. Add powdered sugar and beat until combined. Add mint extract, green food coloring, and heavy cream. Beat until fluffy and smooth.
03 - Spread mint buttercream evenly over cooled brownies. Chill to firm up the buttercream.
04 - Heat heavy cream until steaming. Pour over chocolate chips. Let sit 3-4 minutes covered. Whisk until smooth.
05 - Spread ganache over chilled buttercream layer. Let set for 45-60 minutes at room temperature or 15 minutes in refrigerator. Cut into squares.

# Notes:

01 - Store at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerated for up to one week
02 - Can be frozen for up to 3 months
03 - Mint extract provides better flavor than peppermint
04 - Can be made in 9x13 pan for thinner layers
05 - Consider cutting into 1-inch squares as they are very rich
