Moist Banana Nut Bread (Print Version)

Sweet banana bread with toasted walnuts, hint of cinnamon, and a moist, tender crumb. Ready in just over an hour.

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
03 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ Wet Ingredients

05 - ½ cup butter, softened
06 - ¾ cup granulated sugar
07 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
08 - 2 cups mashed bananas
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Add-ins

10 - ¾ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease or spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
03 - Using a stand or hand mixer on medium speed, beat the butter and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
04 - Turn the mixer to medium-low speed and beat the eggs in one at a time until incorporated. Beat in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
05 - Turn the mixer to low or stir and add the dry ingredients, beating just until incorporated. Do not overmix the batter.
06 - Remove the bowl from the mixer and fold in the nuts just until combined.
07 - Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the top comes out clean.
08 - Cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, then invert the bread onto a wire rack. Cool completely before wrapping or serving.
