Line a large pan with parchment paper. Wash sweet potatoes, pat fully dry, and make about eight to ten deep cuts into the sides with a knife for ventilation.

Place the prepared sweet potatoes on the pan and put the pan into an unpreheated oven. Close the oven door, set the temperature to 450°F (232°C), and bake for 30 minutes. Carefully turn each sweet potato.

Continue roasting for an additional 20 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are soft and caramelized. Adjust baking time based on the sizes and shapes of the sweet potatoes.

Serve hot, or let the sweet potatoes cool before refrigerating or freezing leftovers in a covered container.
