Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
05 - 2 large eggs, room temperature
06 - ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
07 - ½ teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
09 - ¾ cup all-purpose flour
10 - ¼ cup creamy peanut butter

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8" glass baking dish and line with parchment paper.
02 - Beat together butter and sugar until combined. Add vanilla extract and melted chocolate. Beat until well mixed. Add eggs and beat just until combined.
03 - Sift cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and flour into the batter. Use a spatula to mix until combined.
04 - Spread batter in pan. Microwave peanut butter for 15 seconds until pourable. Spoon dollops over batter and swirl with a knife.
05 - Bake for 35-40 minutes until fudgy crumbs cling to a toothpick but no wet batter remains. Cool completely before cutting.

# Notes:

01 - Store at room temperature or refrigerated for up to 5 days
02 - Melted butter creates crackly top and chewy edges
03 - Cover with foil in last 10 minutes to keep peanut butter creamy
04 - Mixing eggs by hand reduces excess air and prevents high edges
05 - Melt chocolate in 30-second microwave intervals
