Pizza Pot Pie Bowls (Print Version)

Layers of gooey cheese, rich sauce, and fluffy dough baked in individual oven bowls for a comforting Italian dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ Key Components

01 - Pizza dough, large portion
02 - Mozzarella cheese, 8 halved slices (hard, not soft)
03 - Provolone cheese, 4 slices
04 - 1 cup of pizza sauce
05 - Your choice of extra toppings, but optional

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to heat up.
02 - Coat the inside and sides of four 10-ounce oven-safe bowls with baking spray. Put them on a baking tray.
03 - Place pieces of mozzarella cheese into the bowls, aligning the shorter sides toward the center.
04 - Pour 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over the mozzarella in each bowl and add any toppings you like (don’t overpack them). If you prefer, drizzle 2 more tablespoons of sauce.
05 - Place one slice of provolone over the toppings to finish the layering.
06 - Split the dough into four equal parts. Stretch each one into a circle that's 1–1.5 inches larger than your ramekin’s top.
07 - Gently place the dough over the bowls, pressing lightly around the sides to seal everything in. Bake until the crust turns golden, about 15–25 minutes.
08 - Once baked, take the bowls out and turn them upside-down onto plates. Loosen the edges of the crust with a knife or use tongs to safely pull off the bowl.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Stick to oven-friendly bowls like Pyrex to keep them safe.
02 - Cook and cool raw toppings (like sausage) ahead of time.
03 - Making the dough yourself? Give it at least an hour to rise before using.
