→ Frosting Ingredients

09 - 8 oz butter, softened
10 - 4 cups powdered sugar
11 - 1 tsp vanilla
12 - 2-3 tbsp milk
13 - sprinkles of your choice

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
02 - Prepare a cupcake pan by inserting cupcake liners.
03 - In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
04 - Add milk and 2 cups of flour alternately, mixing in between.
05 - Add the remaining cup of flour and baking powder. Beat well.
06 - In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until peaks form.
07 - Add egg whites to the batter and beat well.
08 - Split batter into 2 bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl and blue food coloring to the other. The amount will depend on the type of coloring you are using.
09 - Using a spoon, alternate red and blue scoops in each of the cupcake liners, filling them about ⅔ of the way full.
10 - Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
11 - Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
12 - Beat butter and powdered sugar together. The mixture will be crumbly.
13 - Add vanilla and 2 tablespoons of milk. Beat well. If the frosting is too thick, add a bit more milk. If the frosting is too thin, add a bit more powdered sugar.
14 - Put frosting in a large ziplock bag. Cut a small corner off and pipe frosting onto the cupcakes.
15 - Add sprinkles and enjoy.
