Red White Blue Cupcakes (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cupcake batter

01 - 1 box white cake mix
02 - Vegetable oil and eggs as per package directions

→ Frosting and decoration

03 - 2 tubes white frosting
04 - Red gel food coloring
05 - Blue gel food coloring
06 - Red sprinkles
07 - Blue sprinkles

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven according to the cake mix package directions and line the cupcake tin with liners.
02 - Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions and equally divide the batter into three separate bowls.
03 - Using the gel food coloring, dye one bowl red and one bowl blue, leaving the third bowl white.
04 - Spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of the blue batter into each cupcake liner, followed by white batter, then red batter.
05 - Bake the cupcakes as directed on the cake mix package, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.
06 - Spoon the frosting into a piping bag or spread it on with a spatula. Decorate using red and blue sprinkles.
