Spread caramel sauce onto a plate. Dip the rim of a short glass into the sauce.

Place coarse sea salt on a separate plate. Gently dip the caramel-coated rim into the salt to create a salted edge.

Pour caramel vodka and coffee liqueur into the prepared glass. Stir until well combined.

Fill the glass with ice cubes according to preference.

Using the back of a cocktail spoon, carefully pour heavy cream or half-and-half over the spoon just above the ice to float the cream on top.

Garnish with a rosemary sprig, cinnamon stick, and a whole star anise if desired. Stir before enjoying.
