Sausage Bites with Maple (Print Version)

Fluffy pancake snacks baked with sausage, cheese, and maple—perfect for breakfast or brunch.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup shredded cheese
02 - ¼ cup maple syrup
03 - 2 cups pancake mix
04 - 1 pound breakfast sausage
05 - 1 ½ cups water

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F so it can start heating.
02 - Put your sausage in a frying pan and cook it on medium heat. Break it into pieces with a spatula as it browns. Let it cook about 10 minutes, until there's no pink left.
03 - Take the fully cooked sausage out of the pan and set it somewhere safe for now.
04 - In a mixing bowl, stir together the pancake mix and water. Don't stir too much. Toss in the sausage, cheese, and maple syrup. Gently fold them in with a spoon until they're just combined.
05 - Scoop about a tablespoon of the batter mixture into each spot in your mini muffin pan.
06 - Bake the mini bites for 10-15 minutes, until they're golden and cooked through.
07 - Keep baking until you've used up all the batter. You'll end up with around 48 little pancake bites. Grab some extra maple syrup on the side and dig in!
