Sausage Cheese Breakfast (Print Version)

Crispy dough stuffed with savory sausage, cheesy eggs, and veggies. Works for cozy mornings or fancy brunch events.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 tube (10 oz) of store-bought pizza dough, chilled

→ Filling

02 - 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
03 - 12 oz of cooked, crumbled breakfast sausage
04 - 4 large eggs
05 - 1/4 cup of chopped red bell pepper
06 - 1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
07 - 2 tbsp of milk

→ Topping

08 - 2 tbsp of melted butter

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Place parchment paper on a baking pan.
02 - Roll the pizza dough onto the prepared parchment and gently shape it into a rectangle.
03 - Spread the crumbled sausages along the middle section of the dough.
04 - Whisk the eggs, milk, chopped red pepper, and black pepper together in a bowl.
05 - Cook the egg mixture in a heated skillet, stirring until scrambled and done.
06 - Layer the scrambled eggs over the sausage, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
07 - Cut 12-15 strips along each side of the dough using a pizza cutter.
08 - Cross the strips over the center filling, alternating sides as you go.
09 - Bake for about 20 minutes, or until it looks golden brown on the outside.
10 - Before serving, brush the top with melted butter while it’s still warm.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - If you're short on time, use precooked sausages, like crumbled or sliced links.
02 - For quicker eggs, microwave them in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until done.
