Cheesy Sausage Casserole (Print Version)

Creamy sausage, cheddar, broccoli, and rice come together in this cozy, all-in-one bake that's perfect for the family.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups medium cheddar cheese, shredded
02 - 8 smoked sausage links, cut into half-inch slices
03 - 1 cup celery, diced
04 - 3 cups pre-cooked white rice
05 - ½ cup milk or your preferred substitute
06 - 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
07 - 1 cup broccoli, steamed and chopped small
08 - 1 white onion, chopped finely
09 - 1 teaspoon flavored salt blend
10 - Salt and black pepper, adjust to taste
11 - 1 tablespoon olive oil or any cooking oil you like

# Steps:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a 9x13 dish with oil or cooking spray.
02 - Add olive oil to a big skillet on medium heat. Cook the sausage slices for about 5 minutes or until they're a nice golden color.
03 - Add the onion and celery into the skillet. Stir and sauté for around 3-4 minutes until the veggies soften up.
04 - In a mixing bowl, stir together the cooked rice, milk, and cream of mushroom soup until combined.
05 - Add sausage, sautéed veggies, 1 cup of broccoli, 1½ cups shredded cheese, seasoned salt, plus a bit of salt and pepper. Mix it until it’s all blended evenly.
06 - Pour the mixture evenly into the greased dish. Sprinkle the leftover ½ cup of cheese on top.
07 - Place the dish in the oven for 25-30 minutes till the cheese is melty and bubbling.
08 - Take the dish out of the oven and set it aside for 5 minutes to cool a little, then serve.

01 - Pre-cooked rice is a time saver, and frozen broccoli works great if fresh isn’t on hand.
