# Ingredients:

→ Crust

01 - 1 ready-to-use 9-inch pie shell

→ Seafood

02 - 1 pound fresh shrimp, deveined and peeled

→ Vegetables and Aromatics

03 - 1/4 cup chopped celery
04 - 1 tablespoon melted butter
05 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
06 - 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
07 - 1/4 cup onion, minced

→ Custard Filling

08 - 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
10 - 2 large eggs, beaten
11 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder
12 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
13 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt
14 - 1/2 cup of whole milk
15 - 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

→ Topping

16 - 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar

# Steps:

01 - Set the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the pie shell on a baking tray.
02 - Warm butter in a skillet over medium heat. Toss in celery, onions, garlic, and green bell peppers. Cook until they soften up. Add shrimp and cook until they’re pink and done. Pour off any extra liquid and set aside.
03 - In a bowl, stir milk with mayo until nice and smooth. Beat in eggs, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Mix gently until it’s all blended.
04 - Lay the cooked shrimp and veggies evenly in the pie shell first. Pour the custard mixture on top of that. Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar all over.
05 - Pop the pie into the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the filling is set and the cheese is golden.
06 - Once done, let the pie rest for about 10 minutes. Slice it up and enjoy!
