Sloppy Joe Cheese Toast (Print Version)

Garlic toast layered with tangy beef and melty cheese for a crunchy, flavorful bite that’s quick and satisfying.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound of ground beef
02 - 1/2 a yellow onion, chopped small
03 - 1/4 cup ketchup
04 - 8 ounces of tomato sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
06 - 8 pieces of frozen garlic toast
07 - 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon of mustard
10 - 1 teaspoon of onion powder
11 - 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - In a hot pan on medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion chunks until the beef browns. Get rid of any leftover grease afterward.
02 - Toss the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder into the skillet. Stir well, then let it simmer gently.
03 - Lay out frozen garlic toast on a big baking pan.
04 - Spoon a large portion of the meat mixture onto each toast slice, then sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
05 - Bake the toast in a 400°F (200°C) oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and the toast is hot.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - If the cheese starts browning too fast, just cover the pan with some foil and keep baking.
02 - Want to save time? Grab a ready-to-go sloppy joe mix. Cook the beef, add the mix, simmer, and you're ready to top the toast.
03 - Any extra sloppy joe filling can live in the fridge for three days when stored in a tight container.
