Chicken Parmesan Sloppy Joes (Print-Friendly Version)

Ground chicken with cheese and pesto on toasted garlic brioche. A quick and filling weeknight sandwich.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Main Filling

01 - 680 grams marinara sauce
02 - 450 grams lean ground chicken
03 - 1 cup diced yellow onion
04 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 2 tablespoons basil pesto
07 - 33 grams shredded Parmesan cheese

→ Assembly

08 - 60 millilitres garlic butter or margarine
09 - 100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
10 - 4 brioche buns

# How to Make It:

01 - Enjoy right away while it's warm for the best taste.
02 - Put the buns in the hot oven for 5 minutes until they turn golden.
03 - Place the brioche buns on a baking sheet. Generously spread garlic butter on the cut sides.
04 - Lower the heat and mix in the shredded Parmesan cheese. Stir until it’s all blended and keep warm.
05 - Pour in the marinara sauce and basil pesto. Toss in some salt and pepper, and stir it all together.
06 - Throw diced yellow onion into the pan and cook until the chicken is browned and the onions are tender.
07 - Heat a large sauté pan on medium-high. Add ground chicken and crumble it as you cook.
08 - Turn on the oven to 200°C to get it ready for toasting the buns.
09 - Scoop the chicken mixture onto the bottom halves of the buns. Top with shredded mozzarella and cover with the other halves.
