In a pitcher, mix the remaining 5 cups of water with the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice. Stir well and adjust sweetness or tartness as required.

Wash, hull, and quarter the strawberries. Add them to a blender with mint leaves and sugar, then blend until smooth.

Place a strainer over a bowl or pour directly into the pitcher to strain the purée, removing solids.

In the pitcher, mix the strained strawberry purée with the lemonade base until fully combined.
