Tennessee Onions (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 large sweet onions (1.5 lbs), sliced ½-inch thick.
02 - 1 cup heavy cream.
03 - 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese.
04 - 1½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese.
05 - 1 tsp garlic powder.
06 - ½ tsp smoked paprika.
07 - ½ tsp salt.
08 - ¼ tsp black pepper.
09 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut small.
10 - Fresh parsley for garnish (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 - Arrange onion slices in dish, slightly overlapping.
03 - Mix cream, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
04 - Pour cream mixture over onions. Top with cheeses and butter pieces.
05 - Cover with foil, bake 25 minutes. Uncover, bake 20-25 more minutes until golden.
06 - Rest 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Vidalia or Walla Walla onions work best.
02 - Can substitute different cheeses.
03 - Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated.
