Chai Latte Iced Vanilla (Print-Friendly Version)

Refreshing vanilla chai latte with frothy milk, spiced tea, and honey for a delicious drink.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Chai Mix

01 - 2 cups water
02 - 2 black tea bags, like Assam or Darjeeling
03 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
07 - 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped (or 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract)
08 - 2 tablespoons honey, or as desired

→ For Serving

09 - Ice cubes
10 - 1 cup milk (dairy or any plant-based type, like almond or oat milk)
11 - Optional: a sprinkle of ground cinnamon
12 - Optional: pieces of vanilla pod or star anise for decoration

# How to Make It:

01 - Take the pan off the heat. If you're using a vanilla bean, scrape the seeds into the mix and add the pod too. Stir in honey to get the sweetness you want. You can use vanilla extract if you don’t have a bean.
02 - Heat water in a saucepan until it boils. Toss in the tea bags, ground cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes to mix the flavors.
03 - Take out the tea bags and vanilla pod. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature. To speed things up, set the pan in a bowl with ice water.
04 - Pour the milk into a container to froth it with a milk frother. You can also shake it in a jar with a lid. If you don't have a frother, gently heat the milk and whisk until frothy. Add vanilla extract to the milk now if you're using it.
05 - Fill a large glass with ice cubes. Pour the cooled chai over the ice until the glass is about two-thirds full.
06 - Gently pour the frothed milk on top of the chai. Add cinnamon, vanilla pieces, or star anise for decoration if you want. Enjoy right away!

# Extra Information:

01 - Chilling the chai concentrate before putting it together keeps the latte cold and tasty without watering it down.
