# Ingredients:

01 - 5 cups sliced strawberries (690g after slicing)
02 - 1/2 cup water
03 - 1/3 cup sugar or granulated sweetener of choice
04 - 1/4 tsp salt
05 - 4 tbsp cornstarch or 3 tbsp chia seeds
06 - 9 inch pie crust
07 - Optional additional strawberries for decoration

# Steps:

01 - Prepare your crust and set it aside.
02 - Wash and slice the strawberries, discarding the stems.
03 - Combine all filling ingredients in a medium pot. Stir well and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and stir frequently until thickened.
04 - Spread the strawberry filling evenly into the prepared crust.
05 - Chill the pie in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight to set.
