01 - 2 tablespoons softened butter
02 - 2-3 cheese slices (like cheddar, American, or your go-to)
03 - 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whatever you like)

# Steps:

01 - Take each slice and spread butter over one side generously.
02 - In a cool pan, start with one buttered side facing down, then layer the cheese, and finish with the other slice on top (buttered side up).
03 - Turn on low-to-medium heat. Let it cook gently so the bread doesn't burn while the cheese warms up.
04 - Let one side sizzle for 3-4 minutes until it looks golden. Then, carefully flip it over.
05 - Give the other side about 2-3 minutes to toast. The cheese should be nice and melted by now.
06 - Set it aside for about a minute to keep the melted cheese in place, then cut it up and enjoy.
