Easy Homemade Cereal Bars (Print Version)

Chewy bars packed with cereal and nut butter—quick to make, perfect for breakfast or as a nutritious snack.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups cereal of choice
02 - 2/3 cup peanut butter or nut butter of choice
03 - 1/2 cup agave, honey, or brown rice syrup
04 - 1/2 tsp salt (optional)
05 - 3 tbsp protein powder (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Line an 8-inch pan with wax or parchment paper. Double the recipe for a 9x13-inch pan if needed.
02 - Gently warm the nut butter until stirrable if needed. Stir all ingredients in a large bowl until evenly combined.
03 - Pour the cereal mixture into the prepared pan. Place a second sheet of parchment paper on top and press the cereal mixture down very firmly to ensure the bars hold together after slicing.
04 - Freeze for 30 minutes or until firm enough to slice into bars. Cut into desired serving sizes.
05 - Cover leftovers and store in the refrigerator, freezer, or on the counter in a cool, dry place.
