Easy Sugar Cookie Icing (Print-Friendly Version)

Creamy icing that sets quickly, perfect for making cookies look colorful and smooth.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Icing Base

01 - 250 grams powdered sugar
02 - 2.5 millilitres vanilla extract or almond extract
03 - 30 millilitres milk, plus more as needed
04 - 22 millilitres light corn syrup

→ Optional

05 - Food colouring, as desired

# How to Make It:

01 - Use a knife, spoon, piping bag, or squeeze bottle to spread or pipe the icing on cooled cookies.
02 - Whisk together the powdered sugar, light corn syrup, milk, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl until it’s smooth and shiny.
03 - If you want, give the icing some color with food dye, mixing it in well.
04 - Keep the icing thick for piping. If you need it thinner for flooding, add milk a bit at a time until it’s just right.
05 - Get creative with your decorations, then let the icing fully dry before storing the cookies.

# Extra Information:

01 - Let cookies dry uncovered at room temperature until the icing feels firm to the touch for best results.
