In a little bowl, mix together the melted butter, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and onion powder. Stir it up until it's combined well.

Put a nonstick skillet (10-12 inches) on medium heat.

Take 2 slices of bread. Brush one side of each with the butter mix and lay them in the skillet, buttered side facing the pan.

Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on the bread slices in the skillet. Layer it up: first a slice of provolone, then 1/4 cup mozzarella, next 12 pepperoni slices, another 1/4 cup mozzarella, then a provolone slice. Add another slice of bread on top, buttered side up.

Let each sandwich cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn.

Cut each sandwich in half and serve while it’s still warm.
