McDonald's Sausage Egg Cheese (Print Version)

Homemade Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Muffins with fluffy eggs, savory patties, melty cheese, and golden toasted muffins—a breakfast favorite made easy.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 big eggs
02 - 4 pieces of your favorite cheese (cheddar, American, or whatever you like)
03 - 4 sausage patties
04 - Salt and pepper, based on your taste
05 - Butter or oil to cook with
06 - 4 toasted English muffins, split in half

# Steps:

01 - Toast the muffin halves in a pan after buttering them lightly until they get crispy and lightly browned. Put them aside for now.
02 - Use the same pan to cook the sausage patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side over medium heat. They should get golden and fully cooked through. Set these aside too.
03 - Grease a ring mold or a mason jar lid, then crack an egg into each on the pan. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes until the whites are firm and yolks are done how you like it.
04 - Start stacking: cheese slice on the bottom muffin half, then sausage, then the egg. Top it all with the other muffin half.
05 - You can eat them right away or wrap them up to reheat when you're ready.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Press the sausage patties down a little before cooking so they cook evenly and fit snugly in your muffin.
02 - To get the best flavor and a nice look, go for fresh eggs whenever you can.
03 - Layering cheese first, then sausage, and lastly egg helps the cheese melt well from the warmth of the sausage and egg.
