Classic Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For fried shrimp

01 - 1 lb (453g) large shrimp peeled, deveined and tails removed
02 - 1 cup flour
03 - 1 teaspoon salt
04 - 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
05 - 3 eggs
06 - 4 tablespoon buttermilk
07 - 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
08 - 1 tablespoon Franks Red Hot Buffalo Ranch seasoning
09 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - oil for frying

→ For sandwiches

11 - 6 French bread rolls or hoagie buns
12 - shredded lettuce
13 - sliced tomatoes
14 - 1-2 jalapeños seeded and sliced
15 - red onion thinly sliced
16 - Remoulade Sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Gather three small bowls. Combine the flour, salt, and chili powder in one. In another combine the egg and the buttermilk. In the last bowl, combine the panko, Franks Red Hot Buffalo Ranch seasoning, and the Italian seasoning.
02 - Coat the shrimp in flour mixture, then egg mixture, and finally in Panko seasoning.
03 - Heat oil to 350F/176C. Cook shrimp until golden brown, 1-2 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 360F/182C. Place breaded shrimp in basket, spray with cooking spray. Cook 8 minutes, turning halfway through.
05 - Slice rolls, spread remoulade sauce on both halves. Layer fried shrimp, tomato, onion, jalapeños, and lettuce.

# Notes:

01 - Make sure shrimp are not touching when cooking. Work in batches to avoid overcrowding
02 - You can swap the Franks Red Hot Buffalo Ranch seasoning for Old Bay Seasoning
03 - Make buttermilk substitute by adding lemon juice or vinegar to regular milk
