Turkey Bacon Apple Wrap (Print Version)

A melty combo of turkey, bacon, cheese, apple butter, and herby mayo in a warm, golden tortilla.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 1/3 cup apple butter
02 - 2 teaspoons pesto
03 - 7 slices Monterey Jack cheese
04 - 1 small onion, sliced thin
05 - 1 1/3 lb turkey (cooked and shredded or in slices)
06 - 7 soft flour tortillas
07 - 1 (4-oz) jar mushrooms, sliced and drained
08 - 14 pieces of cooked bacon
09 - 1/3 cup mayo

# Steps:

01 - In a small dish, stir together mayo and pesto until it’s smooth.
02 - Spread apple butter down the middle of each tortilla. Lay down one slice of cheese, then add 3 oz turkey, onion slices, a couple of bacon strips, and some mushrooms. Scoop a tiny bit of pesto mayo on top (1 to 2 teaspoons).
03 - Fold the tortilla’s edges into the center to shape your wrap.
04 - On a panini maker, toast until golden. If you’re using a skillet, cook like a grilled cheese and press it lightly with a flat pan or griddle weight.
05 - Serve while warm with your go-to dipping sauce, like spicy honey mustard.

# Notes and Tips:

01 - Perfect for leftover turkey from the holidays. You can swap in grilled chicken or deli turkey slices.
02 - No sandwich press? Use a regular pan with a flat weight for pressing.
03 - Make it your own by adding veggies such as tomato, spinach, lettuce, avocado, bell pepper, or cucumber.
04 - Go gluten-free by subbing in gluten-free tortillas.
